Toddler Environment (18 to 36 months of age)

The Toddler Environment at Kalpagam is far more than a mere day-care. It is a thoughtfully prepared space grounded in authentic Montessori principles, where children from 1.5years to 3years of age are supported by loving, nurturing, and rigorously trained Montessori adults who have a deep and clear understanding of early childhood development and  psychology.

Dr. Maria Montessori’s research highlights that the period from birth to age three is the most crucial stage of brain development—when learning happens more rapidly than at any other time in life. At Kalpagam, we honour this vital window by creating a calm, supportive environment that allows each child to reach his/her full potential in a peaceful and respectful way.

Our Toddler Environment is focused on fostering:

• Independence

• Refinement of movement (both gross and fine motor skills)

• Spoken language development (in the child’s mother tongue and English)
